Low Waste, Low Cost Cooking masterclass series brings the experience and skills behind The Food Saver’s A-Z right into your kitchen. Learn how using whole ingredients and what you already have on hand will save you money and help you do your bit towards environmental action.

This masterclass series is the answer to running your kitchen sustainably while on a budget. Learn over 20 recipes from Alex and Jaimee’s home kitchens, the Cornersmith Cooking School and cookbooks. Storage solutions, shopping tips, affordable meal ideas and simple preserving, plus plenty of waste hacks and tips to keep you sane in the kitchen and keep food out of the bin.

This is an ONLINE demonstration masterclass series, so grab your note pad, pour yourself a cuppa or a drink and sit back and learn and laugh. This 4 part series runs on Thursday evenings at 7pm, starting from 27th October through to 24th November. A 5th bonus session is also included. Each lesson will be 90 minutes with discussions, demonstrations and plenty of time for questions.

Structure:

  • Week 1: An introduction to running a sustainable kitchen (27th October)
  • Week 2: Low-waste, low-cost meals (3rd November)
  • Week 3: Cornersmith Salads and Sides – using it all (10th November)
  • Week 4: Kitchen waste hacks and simple preserving (17th November)
  • BONUS Week 5: Everyday fermenting (24th November)

All lessons will be run via Zoom and will be recorded, so don’t stress if you can’t make it to all of them! You will receive an email with the Zoom link and recipes for each week’s lesson the day before the class.
